Wednesday, March 18, 2020 Day 3 of semi-self-isolation-social-distancing and (not) being a productive human and also having Rob home 24/7

Last night, in our efforts to not only support our favorite local, neighborhood businesses, but also preserve our stockpile of house supplies, we ordered a pizza from our besties at Buona Forchetta (um, they were also offering 30% off their wine bottles to go….WHAT? Shop local and all that people!) As I was typing out my entry for day 2, I looked over at Rob and he had this funny look on his face. I asked him what was up, to which he replied “I am JUST so excited about getting pizza tonight…” It’s the little things in life I guess.

One pizza actually turned in to FOUR pizzas, thanks to my good friend Lauren who suggested we get a couple extra to have on hand. Thank you, Lauren. Along with our pizza we grabbed 2 bottles of wine. I have decided that a “one day on, one day off” strategy of drinking sounds about right at this point in time, although, much like everything else these days that could change hour-by-hour.

As you can probably predict by now, I did not get up at a decent hour. I mean, what is the fucking point? I have nowhere to be (but, really, have plenty to do!). I am not sure at what point I put a bra on…I am pretty sure it was around 6pm when I decided that I needed to get out for a run, and therefore needed to put on a sports bra.

Today included a lot of texting with friends. Many memes shared back and forth to lighten the mood. And, I actually CALLED my friend Felicia, ON THE PHONE. To those that know me, you know I never pick up the phone. I actually hate talking on the phone. But, I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to get back into the habit of talking IRL to people over the phone in the coming weeks. Thank Buddha for unlimited minutes. Back to Felicia. I called her to see what wine she wanted to order from our local wine pub, The Rose (support local friends). Are you starting to see a pattern here? #wino.

I honestly can’t think of a single major thing I accomplished today, other than remove everything from my pantry to take stock, but then just leaving everything scattered around the kitchen and dining room. It’s such a mess in here…if only had time to clean it all up.
